Here’s a few tips I’ve come across recently that have really made me re-evaluate my affiliate marketing strategies. I was constantly trying to ‘sell’ my affiliate products to prospective buyers but had forgotten that really, whilst I could make every effort to ‘presell’ a product, it is ultimately up to the merchant to close the deal. My job is to drive volume and I’d forgotten that. I’ve just posted these tips up here so that when I lose sight of where I’m going, I can flick back and refer back to the key factors that drive my campaign.
- When I’m writing ad copy, benefits sell better than features.
- Its not my job to sell products. My job is to drive targetted traffic and get click throughs. Its the merchant’s job to close the deal.
