It’s that religious time of the month again where I divulge my past month’s affiliate activities and, more importantly, earnings, to everyone interested. Originally I set upon this course to talk through the progress of my wordpress-powered retail kitchen bar stools site but as time has gone on, it’s earnings have not budged from their near-nothing average. Fortunately for me, I do have one other site that is running a PPC campaign that has turned a constant, steady profit in the last few months and this is the site that makes the primary chunk of my earnings at the moment and most of all gives me something to write about at this time of the month!

If it weren’t for my all eggs in one basket PPC-powered site, I’d be running at a loss. As it happens though….
Income
- Affiliate Window: £0.00
- Commission Junction: £521.00
- eBay Partner Network: £95.00
- Google AdSense: £2.00
- USFreeAds: £35.00
- Total Income: £653.00
Expenses
- Dedicated Server and 16 IPs: £100.00
- Google AdWords: £228.00
- LinkBuilding: £8.00 (Buy this package for your own sites)
- Total Expenses: £336.00
Gross Profit
- £317.00
This represents a small reduction in gross profit from May, which I have to admit, surprised me because I felt that my PPC-powered campaign would remain strong throughout the summer. I have learned however, upon further investigation, that because the company performed so well in May, they did run out of a lot of stock for June. I believe this is the primary cause for my reduction in revenue as opposed to any consumer trends or search engine trickery.
Items are still not fully in stock and I can only hope new stock arrives soon because I’d hate to miss out on peak trading periods because of demand exceeding supply and my merchants being unable to fulfill orders!
Did anyone else experience any surprises in trading for June?
