A few things are contributing to an overall positive feeling this month. 1) I’m only 5 days in and already have £300 in revenue from my PPC site and 2) my infamous bar stools site has re-appeared in the SERPs and is now ranking #6 on Google.co.uk for its domain name.

I could have posted this in one night but I figured I’d make use of lots of content by spreading it across more days and more posts. It’s a not so subtle way of getting readers to come back again but may also add some extra worth to the G-Meister by showing a regularly updated [...]

As you know, my bar stools affiliate website is making me no money yet. It has been online since February and has so far made 4 sales. 1 accidental, 2 proper ones via Amazon Associates and 1 proper one with Affiliate Window. This is due to a complete lack of traffic coming to the site [...]

I’m always whinging on about how my affiliate website has yet to start earning properly. I’ve moaned about how I set up the site in February and it’s only earned about £50 since then, £45 of which was accidental…I’ve moaned about how it got an initial rankings boost when it was a new domain and [...]

A couple of good things are happening at the moment for me but I’ve been here before, writing pretty much the same things, so I’m going to be cautious with this one, just in case I jinx myself out of the luck – again. My affiliate site may just be starting to turn a corner.

Yesterday I wrote about how depressed I was that my site was nowhere to be found in the SERPs – even for it’s own name! A fellow affiliate who runs an awesome site listing concert tickets prophesised in a comment on that post that I’d ‘turn a corner soon‘…Today, 12th May, my 1st page rankings [...]

I’m not kidding. My bar stools affiliate site is driving me round the bend. Its been online now since the beginning of February and whilst I have had a couple of spikes in SERPs, my site has pretty much stabilised now at the arse end of the rankings. I always had a feeling it was [...]

As I write this post my affiliate website is not ranking for any of its target terms in google, not even its own site name. In yahoo, the site is showing that it has 23 backlinks from other sites. In google’s webmaster tools, it shows 11 incoming links. In terms of pages indexed, according to [...]

Bollocks! I knew it was too good to be true. 3 days ago my affiliate site re-appeared in google’s SERPs and since then, sold 3 items. That was giving me real hope for the future. In the last 3 days I’d been averaging around 25 visits per day where, for the previous 6 weeks, I’d [...]
